Senior Athlete Management Pool - 2018 Applications

All Seniors that wish to represent New Zealand at any international tournament during 2018 must be a member of the Senior Athlete Management Pool. Submissions for this pool must be received by 30 November, 2017.

All Seniors and Juniors wanting to apply for the 2018 Senior Athlete Management Pool must reach a certain age to be eligible.

  • Applicants for Kata must reach the minimum age of 16 years old by 31st December 2018.
  • Applicants for Kumite must reach the minimum age of 18 years old also by 31st December 2018.

Please read the Senior Athlete Management Pool document and the KNZCC2 policy document very closely to ensure you will meet the criteria. We will take into consideration your attendance at the National level tournaments and camps, coupled with your tournament experience, results and your breakthrough potential.

The pool will be revised for 2018 with members being announced at the 2018 January Camp which is held in Auckland.

If you want to be considered for the athlete pool:
Please submit an up-to-date CV, an athlete profile sheet and a cover letter arguing your case. Submissions must be made to  Each case will be looked at by a panel as outlined in KNZAM1 and each athlete will be notified of the outcome.

Submissions for 2018 must be received by 30 November 2017.

For those of you in the 2017 pool: 
You are required to re-apply by contacting the Athlete Pool Manager and provide all your contact details and information as per the KNZAM1 and KNZCC2 documents.

This information must be received by 30 November 2017. Failing to do so will disqualify you from the pool, so please be proactive.
