Congratulations to Raukawa Jefferies who has been selected to represent New Zealand as one of the first Karate athletes in the history of the Youth Olympics!

Raukawa has the highest WKF Olympic standing in the Oceania region for the 2018 Buenos Aires Youth Olympic Games. He is currently placed 6th in the Male Kumite +68kg category.

Liam, Chase and Raukawa

The Reserve athlete (non-travelling) conditionally selected for the Games is Chase Hennessey [photo above - middle position]. Both Chase and Raukawa train at the same karate club with Sensei Binh Nguyen in Hamilton. So congratulations to Chase, too!
